GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM THE HEADMASTER, GHANA NATIONAL COLLEGE

As one advances in life, there comes a moment when one pauses and examines his/her life intently. This may be described as having introspection into one’s own life. It is therefore not out of place for Nananom to make a move in this direction.

Looking back into history, each everyone who attended Ghana National College has something to remember for when there were in that school and this remembrance creates in you nostalgia which no one can take  from you.

 

THE REALITY AT GHANACOLL TODAY

Ghana National College hit its 60th milestone in July, 2008 and various activities were held to mark the epoch. In the midst of the celebrations, one stark reality that confronted all who took part in the said celebrations was that the once pristine structures of Ghanacoll have suffered significant deterioration over the period.

 

WHY THE ENDOWMENT FUND?

Without doubt, Ghana National College, which is fondly and proudly referred to by its students and alumni as ‘Ghanacoll’ or ‘National’ is one of the most endowed public secondary schools in Ghana.

Today, the student population at Ghanacoll is a little over 2000 and that certainly poses challenges to the existing infrastructure. In the past, when the student population was not that huge, the pressure on facilities in the school was not as intense as today. In the circumstances, the school’s infrastructure has been overstretched and continues to suffer deterioration.
